Seaweed - not sure of the name
Blianc Ile, Marmotier, Grande Brecque - Les Ecrehous
Seaweed - about 20 cm wide
1: This area of peat was not mentioned in Les Ecrehous book by Warwick Rodwell.
2: The line of stones is under investigation when someone with knowledge of such things gets there, but they do appear to be placed by man, and they could be a: Viking burial, Fish trap, or early settlement. All are theories yet to be proved.
3: This stone consists of wedge marks where wood be placed and when the tide covered the stone and wood which would expand and crack the stone apart. This was at an area that I have walked a hundred times and never noticed it. In the Les Ecrehous book only quarry work on Maitre Ile and Marmotier is mentioned. This stone is at the opposite northern end of the reef.
